Director of People Ops

Remote - New Orleans, LA

At Revelry, the Director of People Operations is responsible for leading, coaching, and overseeing the entire People team. Together with business leaders, they will develop and drive forward a people strategy across the company. They ensure all policies and processes focus on supporting and improving the employee experience while maintaining accurate and compliant HR records. Working alongside other teams, including Recruitment and Operations are essential to the role.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide onboarding support for new hires, making sure they are oriented to company systems, policies, general operating procedures and culture.

  • Working with leadership to administer various employee benefits programs

  • Identifying, clarifying and responding to employee issues, requests and implementing solutions in a timely manner.

  • Managing employee offboarding, including: executing exit interviews, account terminations, etc

  • Assisting in compensation changes including bonuses, commissions and raises

  • Cultivating and monitoring company culture via multiple avenues, in order to support the attainment of the company’s goals and promote employee satisfaction and retention.

  • Assisting in performance management processes

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations impacting human resources functions and ensure that policies and procedures are compliant

  • Serve as a critical thought partner to anticipate and lead change required to scale and evolve our team as we grow

  • Build a deep understanding of Revelry’s business objectives and principles and use them as a foundation for delivering and evolving people initiatives

  • Leverage metrics & analytics to inform and measure success of people plans and influence change

  • Be a vocal champion of fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce and culture of belonging at all levels of the organization

  • Support People processes across calendar year and keep up to date and in the know

  • Be a trusted advisor on critical talent-related business decisions including org design, planning, challenging people situations, change management

     

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in this role. Previous tech startup experience that experienced hyper growth and scaling challenges is a plus.

  • Sophisticated coaching and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to be highly-productive and influential in a fast-paced environment and balance longer-term strategic initiatives with more immediate priorities

  • Exemplary organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills 

  • Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including workforce planning, org design, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, employee relations, employment law, diversity, equity & inclusion, training, and development.

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar professional certification or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
