Located in the heart of New Orleans and serving clients nationally, we’re seeking a Product Designer who will be responsible for creating and maintaining the visual side of products while also handling front-end coding responsibilities. Required Skills:

  • Expertise in creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Strong background in User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design.

  • Adaptable to working in various languages, environments, and front-end frameworks (Phoenix/Elixir, React, React Native, WP)

  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies.

  • Proven ability to create and follow design patterns and build reusable components.

  • Up-to-date with the latest CSS developments

  • Experience in accessibility, cross-browser and device testing

  • Leverages product research and user feedback to inform design decisions.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate design ideas and concepts to team members and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Proven ability to create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in Tailwind CSS.

  • Expertise in product branding (logos, colors, establishing design patterns and visual languages).

  • Experience in creating or contributing to an open-source front-end framework.

  • Experience with Phoenix LiveView.

Location

We are a remote-enabled company, priority given to candidates based in Louisiana.
